Teacher, formator, and course designer.

Beyond XR delivery, a dedicated practice as teacher and formator, running courses for middle and high school students and providing expert training for school staff on metaverse, VR and AR didactic systems.

Same technology, two distinct audiences.

On one side, expert formation for teachers on how to use XR in their own classrooms. On the other, structured laboratory courses for students that introduce them to XR, robotics and 3D fabrication.

Activities documented since 2021 across institutes in Florence, Lecce, Nardò, Maglie and Cavallino.

Who the formation is designed for.

Track A

Teacher formator - school staff

Expert formation for middle and high school teachers on bringing XR into their teaching practice.

  • Metaverse classrooms
  • VR didactic systems
  • AR didactic systems
  • Interactive mechanical maintenance teaching
  • Course design and methodology

Track B

Student courses - middle school

Laboratory modules for middle school students, combining digital skills, XR, and FabLab workflow.

  • Competenze digitali 1 - I.C. Cavallino (30h, 2026)
  • Robotics - Istituto Comprensivo Maglie (2024)
  • VR/AR - ITC Prime, Florence (2021-2023)

Track C

High school & vocational

Vocational and high school programs combining VR / AR, Unity, C# scripting, and headset deployment.

  • VR/AR - IISS N. Moccia, Nardò (2025)
  • Unity-based immersive labs
  • Blender → Unity workflow
  • Meta Quest deployment and assessment

How the courses are run.

Each session alternates short explanations, guided demonstrations, individual practice and group work, designed to keep students with mixed starting levels engaged and progressing together.

Cooperative learning

Tasks designed so students learn through structured collaboration, not parallel solo work.

Peer-to-peer

More advanced students guide peers through specific operational steps under teacher supervision.

EAS

Episodes of Situated Learning: short, focused, applied chunks of content.

Tinkering

Hands-on exploration of tools, materials and prototypes, error is part of the lesson.

Learning by doing

New tools are introduced through immediate practice rather than upfront theory.

Project-based learning

Sessions build toward concrete deliverables, XR scenes, 3D models, printed prototypes.

The actual tools used with students.

A pragmatic mix of professional XR hardware and education-grade software, chosen to be usable by students with very different starting levels.

About 3D printing. The course included exposure to FabLab workflow, 3D scanning, slicing in Cura and prototyping. The final physical prints are presented as a classroom learning workflow, not as personal portfolio work.

Expert activities for middle & high school teachers.

Documented expert activities for school staff training, focused on putting XR into the hands of teachers, not only students.
